Rachels's Death (sad)

On March 15, 2005
I lost the most important person
in my life.
She was my life-long friend.
It's to her my
prayers and love I send.
After a ten year friendship,
she left my side.
It's by far my worst night.
As I grow a little more,
I realize how I need her so.
There isn't a second that goes by,
when she isn't on my mind.
Suicide was her timeless end.
that's how I lost my best friend.
It will take years
for my heart to mend.
Rachel's smile could
light up a room.
Even though she was
sometimes rude,
she had the biggest heart in the world.
I remember everything from
the phone call
to opening her bedroom door
to seeing her final fall.
It hurt so much
to see my best friend
in a puddle of blood
Tears fill my eyes today,
just like they did the day
she went away.
There's one more thing I'd like to say:
Don't take any friend for granted.
You never know,
when they won't be here any more.
And now,
I wish every night
that she didn't die.
but I wake-up knowing
I won't see her again in my life.
