The Oasis That Is Home

by Kara   Jan 2, 2006

On top of a green hill is where I lay
Grey sky's above me heavy with rain
A breeze whisk me away and I fly through the stormy day
In a world all of my own simple but not plain

Everything is beautiful and pure
Nothing has been touched or harmed
I reach out to my oasis as I glide over a pasture
A light in the distance glows perfect as if charmed

I can't see where it comes from as I am now nearly blind
It floods this world and all it's beauty
Could it be that I'm home at last and not left behind
Can I please just see his face or am I unworthy

I wake up with a smile that soon fades
I realize it was only a dream and I have a long way to go
I just want to drift back in to that place with no troubles and no pains
How lovely it is to truly be home is something I long to know

To be back with my father in heaven in my greatest ambition
But I still have a purpose to find in this lost world that we share
After all it is his will I wish to do and I am his creation
But till I have finished what needs to be done I'll think of this fantasy that is so rare
