Wounds 11-30-5

by Amanda Clayburn   Jan 2, 2006

These wounds they will not heal
I place my hands and arms over them
I have no power to protect myself anymore
I hide them so you wouldn’t notice the shattered body
Can you feel them?
A hazard life has make me
My eyes, so sore
Face pale and deadly
I’m crawling on the ground
Only a towel on me
I shredded my life and my confession
Ghosts speaking to me
Trying to hold my body up
Stumbling over rocks
These wounds they will not heal
Placing myself onto you
All I have is you
You put your hand underneath my chin
Raised my head up and kissed my lips
I finally felt some relief
Setting my body on you
Feeling you warmth
I want you with me
