Silence

Light gone, darkness still there.
stayed away a long time ago
did i have a choice?
something I'll never know

Despair is an ally
Such a lonely cold friend
something left void
something you can depend

It will always be there
never to leave you in desolation
Silent devoid without care
not to turn you to damnation

It has never asked a question
never made me sad
it has always taught me a lesson
never told me I'm bad

will listen when i speak
Never lets me down
is the answer i seek
Never lost; always found

    I have had to take a long break from writing poetry. I have a job that keeps me busy but thank you all who continue to follow me.
