I miss you more than yesterday.
The tears that sadly caress my cheek today,
Perfectly explain the way this sadness stays.

I don't know if I've said I'm sorry enough,
But you took my words like you were tough,
And what I'm wondering is if this is too much.

Have you cried as much as I have by now?
Are you as mad at me as I am for breaking my vow?
Will either of us get over this someday, somehow?

I love you more today than the first day I saw you,
And I miss you more today than when I left you,
I'm shoving my own words in my face, wishing I didn't have to.
