The Sun and the Stars

by Jeremy Edmondson   Jan 3, 2006

The moment came and both were nervous
A queer sight is one of two lover’s first kiss
It was in the frigid December but there love keeps them from freezing
Standing outside the theater she looks at him and he looks to the stars then back to her
Thanking initiative he leans to kiss her
The ecstasy all most acquainted the boy with death and the joy almost got the best of the girl
The warmth they feel was too comforting
One that nightmares fear and dreams are made of
They both feared the sun rise of the next day because they both knew that
I swear by all flowers that I will love you until the last one withers as long as the last one is false
As they lay down to bed that night the last thought in the boys mind was that of the kiss
And his dreams replayed it o over and over again
The next morning came too soon as it often does
And the day they both remember all too well came to a termination
But in our hearts it will stand frozen in time
A lovely memory of our first kiss in the night under the stars
Our first kiss that feared the morning to come
Our first kiss the will bind us for eternity
Our first kiss the prelude to everything we will be
