For You My Love

by Josh Hopper   Jan 3, 2006

Ive cut my wrist for the last time, for you my love its done,

for every tear you shed for me, has been by my own blood,

by my assumptions, by my fears, by what we may become.

Ive messed it up so much this time, I want to simply forget,

I didn't think it'd get so bad, my intentions weren't this,

Ill never do it again, Ill be there, for you my love I promise.

I pray that it will be OK, but it keeps repeating in my head,

"I haven't hurt like this in such a long time" is what you said,

Ill take away all your pain and put it in the gun to my head.

Pull the trigger and feel your pain, so I know how you felt,

just for a second, by my actions, the blow that I had dealt.

I still feel the pain, and its for you my love, I release myself.

Ill start again, with the memory, that haunts me to this day,

That it was I, your love, that caused you so much pain,

but I know it was for you only, that took that pain away...
