My one and only

by Colton   Jan 3, 2006

I sit alone in my room,
and stare into the starlit sky,
every star that shines,
shines beautifully,
but not as beautiful as you.
The way you smile when I see you,
the way you laugh so wonderfully,
the way you whisper in dark,
that you want to be with me.
I know I can't be perfect,
but I'd do anything for you,
I'll catch you when you fall,
I'll wipe away your tears,
I'll hold you close to me,
I'll tell you everything's OK,
every night I walk you home,
and wish that you could stay.
We could lay awake at night,
and listen to the rain,
I can be your knight in shining armor,
your shelter from the pain.
The next time that I sit here,
and stare into the sky,
I don't want to be lonely,
I want you sitting with me,
because you're my one and only.
