So delicate...

She seems so delicate, a pale rose.
So beautiful yet so fragile.
Unprotected and naive she seems happy but I know too well that fake smile.

I wish I could make her stronger.
Guide her along the right path.
I wish I could show here how to smile and mean it, how to be happy and laugh.

Always when I am with her.
I try to make her understand.
But it proves tricky, as this concept is understood in a far, far off land.

This place so many daydreams.
And so many tears away from here.
I strive for years to find this heaven but I am stopped as the door is blocked with fear.

This magical place is all around.
So precious, beautiful like a pearl.
This place isn't found through footsteps, but instead within an angel's soul.

Found with laughter and the purest of smiles.
The joyous sparkle of an eye.
But banished by gloom, murdered by glares, frightened away by the sound of a cry.

I return my gaze to her soft face.
I wipe the tear from my cold eye.
"Promise me this for the rest of your life, you'll find this happiness and my defeat wont stop you to try"
