How could one guy
Hurt one girl
So bad that every time
She sees him she just wants to hurl
That she just wants to curl up in a ball
And pretend that nothing in this world is real

How could one guy have so much power
Over a girl
That he can shatter her dreams
Without a second thought
What's a girl to do
When a guy just doesn't seem to care

How could one guy be so hurtful
To the one he "loves"
How can he just toss that word around
And pretend it has no more meaning than
Hello and goodbye
How could just three little words hurt so much

Why do we let guys hurt us like they do
We just stand back and watch them tear
Our world apart and flip it upside down
And then we sit at home crying over some
Stupid guy that broke our heart
And think how can they tear our life apart

Sometimes I think guys were put on this Earth
Just to make our lives hell
That there are no good guys out there
But then again I see so many happy couples
And wonder why
Why I have to sit here and cry

Why can't I find one guy
That will make me happy
Instead of making me cry
Isn't there a guy out there for me
Don't I deserve to be set free
Instead I sit here all alone with a broken heart
