Rain

by Mighty442   Jan 3, 2006

The gray skies, the dark clouds, it's raining
People don't like the rain, I prefer it over the sunshine mundane
It drapes the world in a shimmering skein
I feel like it makes everything clean
I like to stand outside and feel it on my face
It makes the world move in a slower pace
I stretch out my arms and feel the droplets on my fingers
I wish the sensation would still linger
I kissed my love in the rain
That memory comes to me again
Even though my love has gone
The rain brings back those feelings I long
I stand outside in the rain
I let it wash away my pain

Creates an amazing image of a solitary short-lived moment.

a moment that returns to the author over and over again.
