Road of Ruins

by N.M.Sanden   Jan 4, 2006

Here lies the road of ruins
You are here by your own doing

Your fate has been and always
Will be in your own hands

The only person to blame
For your downfall is yourself

Here, there is no good life
Only that which is useless resides

The path is very difficult
And it only gets harder as it goes

There are very few ways out
You must sacrifice much to leave

But when you do finally leave
The rejoice will be amazing

Until that time your life is horrible
You will never learn to live with

The road of ruins

I don't know if you're a Christian, but that toatly rocked because it showed how, in a Christian perspective, this world is not our home ( I forgot the reference, but it's in the New Testement somewhere). We have a better place and I can't wait to get there. i loved it. 5/5.
