New Year's Wish

by Vic   Jan 4, 2006

New Year's dawn lights a new beginning.
Happiness in my heart is filling.
The tear in my heart slowly rebuilds.
The scar is minimal, the beat is still.
Peacefully I lay, sleep, think lately.
Misery has had no place in me.
Smiles replace the empty frowns.
I've had more energy, instead of being down.
As much as this is happy news...
It's bad, because it's new being happy about you.
I have nothing to complain about.
Can't say there's something I'm without.
Except one thing, can you believe.
I'm still sad, but not enough to leave.
I'm here without you physically, I cannot hold you.
So for my new year, this year, I'll speak more truth.
All I can do is tell you my emotion.
I can't cross the vast, cruel ocean.
Eventually we'll be together.
Like a dream... that'll go on forever.
Hopefully, you'll let me call you [dear].
And spend many....happy... new years...
