Bruised

by SmallSurprise   Jan 4, 2006

Will I ever find another? I ask myself everyday
I think back and wonder if there was maybe a different way

It felt so right, me bundled in your arms
Nothing would ever hurt me, you'd protect me from all harm

You stroked by cheek so lovingly that it made my heart ache.
You did the same thing while I thought my heart would break

Can you push aside all those words you said, I know I cannot
I had no idea, no clue, that I would be so easy to forget

Now as I write these words, on paper they're so real
I'll never get over these emotions, that you never got to feel

Bruised is my heart, too far to be repaired
But wh should I tell you? You obviously don't care

I liked this poem a lot. My favorite part was the bruised heart part..the very last two sentences. Great job!
