Pigs will fly

I wish you were here when I lie awake,
But you do not know what difference you make,
You do not know that I love your smile,
Cause it makes me believe that all this is worthwhile.
You did not notice when I turned around,
To choke back the tears that appeared with no sound,
That fell like they did; so often these days,
Because I feel like I'm trapped in this maze.
And I'm walking in circles, cause I can't find you,
And you are not looking, cause you never do.

But I cannot tell you what my eyes long to say,
When they're looking at you, but you're not looking my way,
I cannot show you the scar on my heart,
That's burning inside me, telling me we're apart.
And sometimes I point to that star up above,
And whisper that's closer than the one who I love.
But grass will be blue and the sky will be green,
Before you'll ever know how much to me you mean.
And flowers will talk, and pigs will fly,
Before you'll ever see the tears in my eye.
