Ghost II (lost)

by Strange Angel   Jan 5, 2006

*This is a remake of a poem i wrote ages ago. I re-read it, and found a new meaning to it. Here's the end result. Read my poem Ghost, if you wanna see the original*

I saw a ghost today
I was walking down the hall.
Looking in the mirror,
Fragile and small.

She turned her face toward me,
But I didn't recognise,
The rosy lips, velvet hair,
And mysterious auburn eyes.

Her hair was dark,
And framed her face
She flicked it from her eyes.

Upon her lips,
A haunting smile,
Her penetrating eyes.

She looked upon my body,
And deep within my soul,
I knew what she was searching for;
That feeling someone stole.

I ripped my eyes away
From her weak, disturbing gaze,
And swiftly turned around
To see her through the haze.

But what I saw was not a surprise,
And I was all alone.
No one held those eyes,
And I was back at home.

Turning toward the mirror,
I was scared to see,
That the girl looking back,
Was actually me.

*It's really not very different to the original, but it means something very different to me...*
