Revived Heart

by Simon Hayes   Jan 5, 2006

Emptiness once again
Invites me to it's abode
A place I have been before
A long and lonesome road

Many visitors, young and old
Walk this treacherous place
Unable to catch their breath
Or even show their face

Searching for release
A path to take them home
A way out from this hell
They no longer wish to roam

Some can find it easy
Others look too hard
Some will give up looking
Some too heavily scarred

The path I take was made for me
By someone special who
Takes my hand, my heart, my soul
That special one is you!

Wonderfully written, Simon. I love how emptiness is personified and the mellifluous words. Each word is perfect. The words flow so smooth and the meaning is so deep. It's almost like a river. Beautiful write!
