Making Sense of Scribbles

by livefreebright   Jan 6, 2006

It's amazing how I can throw together a string of words
And none of it has to make any sense at all
How everyone who has loved knows exactly what I mean
I know that you have loved before
But can't you love again
I can see us being together
My head on your lap and your fingers running through my hair
With a notebook in my hands
Filling pages with scribbles
Scribbes that explain the way I feel about you
You're all the inspiration I need
You're all I will ever need
The scribbles represent my feelings
My crazy, jumbled, mixed up feelings
That make perfect sence to you

Wow, I really like the story you're conveying here, and the imagery is simple but still wonderful. The best suggestion I can give on this one is that I think some punctuation would make things a bit clearer. This is, of course, only my opinion (I always prefer to read poems with punctuation, many people don't really care).

    Great work, keep it up!
