Emotions

by Reagan Lausche   Jan 6, 2006

I wake up to my heart beating madly,
The reality of the dream ended up so sadly.

As I wipe away my tears I wonder,
Who are you to leave my mind in such a blunder?

Pain, contempt, mixed emotions and shere agony,
Is what you left behind for me, as you stripped away all dignity.

How is it that you can haunt me so,
When you are truly my biggest foe?

You are nothing but everything to me,
I wish that I could be set free of your memory.

To rape my heart and soul is what you did,
Because of that, the memories I cannot rid, for I was just a little kid.

The pain that you brought on to me,
Will last for an eternity.

I really don't get this poem. I think it has to do with something in a dream but I'm not quite sure. It seems like it has something to do with acual rape but I'm not sure either.
