It's Over

With a few awkward words
it all came out
glimmers of hope faded
as my light became black
i was drowning in the darkness
of my own thoughts about it
the loss of hope
struggling to cope
what does this all mean?
feeling numb
being unable to feel
confusion has taken over me
as i slowly gather my thoughts
to realize that once again
love doesn't love me
to accept and rebuild and move on
complications as we grow up
leads to cherishing our childhood
as we grow we start to suffer
start to realize reality's painful
dreams are shattered
the reasons seem legitimate
but i still doubt that
there has to be underlying reasons
that cannot be told
I'll wave goodbye for now
hoping to come around in another year
as another venture closes
and new doors open
and new light shines
hopefully soon I'll be fine
