One Mistake

You thought you had it all,
Had your life all planned out.
Everything was going exactly perfect.
Thought you were doing everything right

But one day, you realize,
You really screwed up somehow.
Your perfect plan had a flaw.
Now what do you do?
You didn't have a second plan.

You had to tell your boyfriend.
Find a way to tell your parents.
Make doctors appointments.
All so much to do because,
Of one little mistake

You hadn't planned a baby,
Especially at the age of 18.
You had plans to go to college.
Then raise a family.
Your parents are going to be upset.

What are you going to do?
How can you afford this?
Will he still love you?
All this because one mistake!

This did not happen to me, but an experience in my life inspired this poem.

    OMG, I started cryin when i was reading this cause i was in the same boat, i was 19 when i got pregnant but never would i was it was a mistake, my son saved my life, if it wasnt for him i would have never have known i had cancer, but i very much so love this poem! it is so true! great job
