Why Does It Hurt

Keeping this secret locked up
Never letting anyone know
I cry myself to sleep at night

Why does it hurt so much to love you
It makes everyday harder to live

I'm only a spectator to your love
Watching you flirt with everyone else
Leaving me alone and left out

There is no space for me in your life
You have made that clear to me
You don't know my true feelings

You treat me like your little sister
As though nothing you say will hurt
You laugh at me and make up jokes

Why does it hurt so much to love you
I know it shouldn't but it does
I wish I could tell you how I feel
