I've Made You Like This

What happened to you?
You used to be the sane one.
But now you're going off the rails,
Constantly screaming at everyone.

You used to keep me together,
Picking up my shattered pieces.
But you've been pushed too far,
And you're care suddenly ceases.

You used to hold me tight,
Through those terrifying nights.
Now I no longer see your light,
It's like you're giving up this fight.

I put you through so much pain,
And suffering you can no longer hide.
I guess it's really taking its toll,
Because you're no longer by my side.

You're broken so bad,
And you need me this time.
But how can I help you,
When it's me who committed the crime.

The act of my selfish sins,
Have you rotted away within.
In this family I am no longer in,
This war has begun, no one will win.

This conflict at home,
It has you so torn apart.
I've made you retreat,
And close up your heart.

You are my mum,
You kept me strong.
Now we're both weak,
And everything is wrong.

I love you forever,
And more with each day.
I'm sorry for being me,
Please tell me you'll stay?
