The Girl In The Mirror

by Tasha   Jan 7, 2006

A broken mirror
A torn heart
My entire world
Has been ripped apart

They tell me I'm beautiful
But I really don't care
When I look in the mirror
Beauty isn't there

I wonder who that girl is
The one that's staring back
I think I used to know her
But somehow I lost track

She's changed so much
In so little time
It's hard to believe
The reflection used to be mine

She went from care-free to dark
To acting like she was care-free
I can still kind of remember...
The girl kind of reminds me of me

But she's so much different now
She's not the same at all
She knew she had to change
People were sick of watching her fall

So she acts like she's happy
When really she's dying inside
She feels like she can't let anyone in
She's got too much in her past to hide

So she keeps it all a secret
The girl in the mirror I see
Someday maybe you'll know
The girl in the mirror isn't me.
