Crying out

Sitting here
on my bed
wondering what had been done
screaming, crying, fighting
What had just happened?

I don't know
and I don't think I want to.
My parents still yelling still creaming
I can hear their hits
I could almost see the hatred in their eyes

My heart, broken
My dreams, crushed
My whole life I thought was good
just fell apart

But yet I still wish everything to be OK
Another scream, another hit
I sit here crying nothing I can do to help
I feel hopeless, like a small child

Are they done?
Or are they going to keep at it?
More hits, more screaming
Stop! Please stop!

Then complete silence
What happened?
Help!
I'm crying out to you
Please help me!
