THE FIXIN MAN

THE FIXIN MAN

There is a fixin man, he will fix anything he can,
but there is one thing he couldn\'t seem to fix at all,
when they had to part, it broke his sad and loving heart,
she left him when he got his army call,
so on some paper he wrote a note,
here is what the fixin man, wrote,
\"I love you, and I\'ll be gone a year,
but don\'t you worry none, it won\'t be any fun,
and you won\'t have to shed a tear\",
even though his heart was sore,
his country needed him so much more,
things needed to be fixed in a distant land,
he did what he could, he did everything he should,
still he came home without his hand,
he thought, now what will I do,
my fixin days are through,
and I still haven\'t fixed my achin heart,
then he saw a phone upon the wall,
and to her home he placed a call,
he said honey can't we make a brand new start,
when she heard his voice,
she knew she had no choice,
and his heart was fixed for the rest of time.
