I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

We dated for a while.
He told me he loved me,
all I could do was smile.

I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

No pressure to go anywhere.
He told me he would wait.
Making me think I was ready and prepared.

I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

After a while,
it became the norm.
We sexed up a storm.

I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

When he left,
I thought he would be back.
What I didn't know is that he wasn't wanting to keep track.

I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

Though it wasn't his fault he had to go,
I thought,
now and then,
I might receive a "hello".

I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

Now he's gone.
In my heart,
he has a spot where his name will always be drawn.

I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

He was the first,
and the worst.
It's over now,
wow.

I thought he loved me,
I thought he cared.

    Wow, thats incredibly good-that line that says "i thought hed be back" i like that alot-muh boyfriend jus recently moved n he says that too- this will prolly be the poem i read if he never does- he was muh first tru love too-well ne ways- ur great @ writin n good job
