My life

by cassanova   Jan 8, 2006

When i was young,
we coudnt get no poorer,
id hustle 4 my brandy,
and have to chase it with water,

u dont understand,
man just look,
my moms a chef,
with nothin to cook,

i take my clothes off the clothesline,
and just wear\'em damp,
on my way to the store,
with my mother fu**n food stamps,

i use to sell drugs,
anything man,
gotta get that money,
you understand,

so what now,
u think im lower than dirt,
cuz i sold my soul,
for a 10th of wat its worth,

the devil came on a good day,
i gave it to him cheap,
cuz he gave me wat i needed,
when i was really weak,

but i asked for forgivness,
like a 100 times last year,
got into a deadly car accident,
and god showed me that he cared,

god has saved my soul,
and he put me here today,
cuz of all the sh*t ive been through,
this is how i get payed,

he gave me another chance at life,
when my last i took for granted,
he put me through so much sh**,
i really couldnt stand it,

not talking bout money
when i say "rags to the riches",
but no more paper,
we got real dishes,

god put me through all this,
so i could be taught,
now i am strong,
my soul could never be bought,

and now from all my hurt,
i can make people see,
what you can change,
and what you can be,

god put me here,
and the reason is that,
all the things ive taken for granted,
now i can give back...
....please vote i think this is my best poem

    Cassonova,

man, this is the most honest poem I have ever read. Your life has been so hard, you've suffered awful knocks and yet you manage to look back on them as lessons. I respect that you have turned your life around for the good. You have a wonderful daughter now and you are gonna show her how to lead a respectful life. She's gonna see a father who is respectful to her mother, himself and to her. You have your whole life ahead and you are gonna shine!!

    Well done my friend :)
