Dear lord forgive me,
Show me through darkness,
Ease my bitter pain,
Help me find my way,
Let me out of this cage,
Send some sunlight rays of hope.

Answer a prayer or two,
Pull me out, over and through
Give me a reason so I understand,
This journey I\'ll be holding your hand,
Your angles will protect,
Leave me with a different affect.

Shield this tired soul,
With coverage of faith and peace,
Don\'t let me fall to my knees,
I\'d like to stay standing,
Offer a should when I come apart,
