My Big Brother

by None   Jan 8, 2006

He never saved the world,
Or found a cure for the common cold.
He never won an Emmy,
And he isn't all that old.

He never fought in a war,
Or bedded a deadly fire.
He never opened on Broadway,
Or starred in a blockbuster like Liar, Liar.

He never won a Stanley Cup,
Or graduated at the top of his class.
He never wrote a book,
And he never made a sculpture out of brass.

However, he has always been there,
When I needed a friend.
And every broken heart,
He found a way to mend.

So maybe he never saved the world,
And he may not be all that tough.
But the fact that he is and was there,
Will always be a million times more than enough.
