Have to Keep Trying

I have to stop caring about what you're thinking,
My heart is breaking and it is shrinking.
I have to stop trying to be the best,
I have to forget about you and all the rest.

It's just so hard to see people pass me by,
When I'm the only one who has to try.
Why is it so hard for you to love me?
Why is it so hard for you to see?

I go through all of this stuff...
And I'm pretty sure I've had enough...
All I want is for you to care when I'm sad,
All I want is to be better than them, just a tad...

I know I can't be no matter how hard I try,
They're just naturally perfect and never cry...
I guess I'm too much for you to handle,
And to them, I don't even hold a candle...

You just rather be with anyone but me,
You rather be with someone always happy.
So that's why I'm trying so hard to smile,
Even though I've wanted to cry for a while.

That's why I've tried to forgive,
Even though I'll never forget...
All those things you've done that made my eyes wet.

That's why I've been staying strong,
That's why I've said nothings wrong.
But there is, you just can't know,
Because the one thing I can't do...
Is let my feelings show.
