Afraid

It's been hard to describe my feelings for you
Since we've been apart
I still remember the very beginning
When you first captured my heart

It seems many years have passed
But it hasn't even been one
I pretended to know more than I did
I was just a child having fun

I know nothing about boys or love
I didn't know the first thing about romance
So I fell in love unprepared
Taking a fatal chance

I rushed in way too fast
Without a clue what to do
You felt pressured; You slipped away from me
You left me depressed and blue

Whenever you'd cross my mind
I'd let out a disappointed sigh
Though no tears fell from my eyes
Silently did I cry

Though I fell for you in seventh
I'm now almost in eighth grade
And when I think of what boys can do to your heart
I can't help but feel afraid...

    I just want to tell you, that you're not the only one. I'm just a girl like you, I just thought of the good things about love, I didn't know that it could hurt that much. Promise me that you'll be better with this (hard) experience =)
