What Will Happen?

What will happen when you come back?
Will you tell me the truth?
Will you confess?
Will you hold me close,
And say that you'll be there forever?
Would that be a lie too?
I'm not sure what to believe anymore.
I can't trust anything.
I don't even trust myself.
Do you know how that feels??
I am losing my mind,
Slowly, but surely.
I can't imagine facing these days
Not knowing who you are,
Not knowing what your smile looks like.
But I wonder,
These last few months of problems,
Would they have been just a touch easier
If I didn't have the pain
Of the heartbreak that you caused
To come slamming and bashing its way into my mind
Every second of every day??
Your memory has been burned inside of me,
And there is no way to get it out.
