Not Alone

I was looking forward to seeing you this day,
Just to have you near me makes me feel whole,
And then once again you let me down.

I felt so unworthy of you,
My love no longer good enough.
I shouted, thinking we were done.

Running out my door not knowing what was right, what was wrong,
I found myself going to your house.
Thinking over and over what I should say,
But seeing you I felt butterflies explode.

All my words were trying to fall out,
But my mouth it just wouldn't give.
Standing opposite you,
I admired you for a long time in a while,
The way you style your hair,
Even the way you stand.

Memories came flashing back as I tried to take in your words.
You told me I cause you stress,
Then my eyes filled with tears.
Can't you see, that was never my intention?

I don't know if you could see the hurt that filled my blue eyes,
I tried to say the right things,
All I wanted was for to hold me once again.

It was then, I couldn't take it no more,
Losing the one I love with my all my heart was too much for me to take,
I made an exit to the door,
Tears streaming down my face.
You held the door shut,
Not letting me leave.

We stood awkwardly in your porch for almost an hour,
Then you reached out and held me close.
I became tense, scared to hug you back,
But you placed my arms around you,
As I closed my eyes and finally, I wasn't alone.
