Behind his eyes

Most cant see
He hides behind his eyes
He covers his emotions
With deception and lies
If they really deserve to know
They\'ll have to earn his trust
But when they do
Deception is a greater must
Protecting their feelings
At the expense of his own
Has him feeling
Empty and alone
But their feelings
Are worth the lies
So he hides all his hurt
Behind his eyes
