One Step Toward Understanding

I know I need to let go
Of all this pain I hide
But its buried so far down
Its easier just to let it be

I know what I feel is wrong
All this anger I feel toward you
But you let me down hard
When I needed you to be there for me

I know that I need to move on
To forgive you for all that you've done
But I'm crying on the inside
And I'm just longing for you to hear

I know you probably don't know
All the pain that one decision could make
But it hurts a little more everyday
Especially when you don't give me a chance

I know I'm supposed to love you
And deep down I really do
But I feel betrayed and let down
How is it fair that you got to choose

I know this isn't the end
Because there is so much more to let go
But maybe one day you'll be able to see
Instead of being blind to it all

I know I'm taking this hard
I should probably just let it be
But in some way I hope I can get through
Maybe then I won't hurt so much anymore

    I love it and i feal the pain that you have in side of you it sucks but keep writting i find that when i write it helps so mabey it will do the same for you and i loved this poem its one of my favs

    I am affaid it`s true I am heading for Europe. I have always wanted to go and it`s a good place to start over. Thank you so much for sharing your writing with all of us. I too will miss writing and sharing it. But I will continue to write. I wish you all the best that life has to offer.
