I sit upon your bitter soles
My heart upon my skin
Bright green with coloured laces
Dear, I feel your every sin

I see your tears a falling
Striking gently on the ground
I feel your sadness beating
And I understand your frown

I hold you in my grip
Keep you warm the best I can
The quaking of your body
I try to quell with my weak hands

I walk upon the grass lands
Pavement, skin and bone
Upon the hospital corridoor
