I Have (non rhyming)

Sometimes I just lie awake thinking
why have ....
I been given so much ?
a wonderful husband
who loves me for who I am
beautiful children
that brighten my every day with smiles
life has treated me pretty fair

I have witnessed so much beauty
a rising sun
peaking over the mountain tops
a beautiful sunset
holding the man I love
the gentle feel
of a soft whispering wind

I have touched....
the soft silky fur of a kitten
I have tasted....
the sweet nectar of a fruit
I have seen....
a rainbow after a spring shower
I have heard....
the squeals of a happy child
I have felt....
the feeling of being in love

I swam....
in the refreshing river water in the summer
I have played....
beneath the colorful falling leaves of fall
I have watched....
the snow fall on a glorious day of winter
I have smelled....
the tulips announcing the arrival of spring

I have shared....
my thoughts with my cherished friends
I have received....
love and support from my CC&P family
I have wished....
for love and peace upon a falling
star
I have prayed....
to God , please bless people nation wide
I have been granted....
