The Clown Is Shutting You Down.

by Not Bulletproof   Jan 11, 2006

I'm sick of you thinking I can't hear you,
When you're right behind my back.
I hear all the quiet words you say,
Trust me, darling, I'm definitely keeping track.

You whisper and you think I'll never know,
And when I look at you, you put on a little show.
Give me a smile and hugs at departure,
But guess what? I know about your low stature.

I'm tired of the things that you've been saying,
You know I could go forever playing with you,
But this thing has to end sooner than later,
Because I'm sick of the things you say are true.

I always turn around to see you looking in disgrace,
Grimacing at my state of style and my face.
Well I'll smile and act friendly for only so long,
Before I come out and tell you that you're wrong.

So pathetic the way you're "secretly" mad at me,
But you "love" me like you always did.
I turn my back with a smile, and I hear what you say,
Wondering how I could ever be so damn stupid.

Well this is where the punctuation comes in,
And I tell you exactly what I feel inside my skin.
Treat me bad, well what goes around, comes around.
So good luck darling, I'm shutting your show down.

A really good an special poem! I have two friends who do kind of the same to me, so I can really relate to this! I have learnt not to go along with it and hit back, they got my message and are not like that any longer - try it.!

    Lots of luck to you
