Bleeding in your arms
your voice makes me weak
i try to tell you the truth
but my heart won't let me speak

pouring my mind out to you
so you could know how i really feel
how every day goes by
how my life isn't real

you just listen intently
with those gorgeous blue eyes
with each word i speak to you
comes to you as a surprise

you thought you knew everything
everything there was to know
but no one knows what goes through my mind
because of the feelings i never show

i know you wont be judgmental
that is not something you would do
but still i cannot help but feel
you never had a clue

i thought you understood me
and saw the pain i tried to hide
but you were just like all the others
who never asked to confide

no one sees my pain
my torn and broken heart
you look in worry at my trembling lips
and say that we would never part

you would not leave me drenched in my pain
that is why i chose you
to reassure me that i wasn't insane

i cannot help but think that i am mentally ill
for no one seems to think the way i do
but every time i see other people
they seem to be wondering too

now you are holding me close
don't let me fall from your arms
for you are the only one that loves me
and will be the first person i do not harm
