A kiss on the lips
a sweet gentle sigh
an I'll love you forever
and I'll never say good-bye

your arms wrapped around me
a whisper in my ear
a promise to the gods
that you'd always be near

you thought i was asleep
so you whispered out your heart
you said you would die
if ever must we part

i was your one
your only and everything
to me these words
your sweet heart sang

i pretended to sleep
think I'd hear more
but you just kissed me softly
and my heart begin to soar

thats all you said
the first night you were there
you led me to believe

but you hurt me
