Hero of a brand new kid

You saved me from defeat,
defeat of my own.

You listened to what I didn't say,
rather than what I did.

You encouraged me when no one else did,
You are my hero,
the hero of a brand new kid.

I used to hide from change,
Now I can embrace it all till the end.

I may not be the stongest,
But you don't push me to be.

You are my hero,
the hero of a brand new kid.

You expect me to try my best,
and I owe you that and much more.

so as I wrap up this poem I will say once more.....

You are my hero,
THE HERO OF A BRAND NEW KID!!!!
