Pool of Tears, Blood, and Water

by Psychopathic   Jan 12, 2006

Shaking,
she can't steady herself.
Tears in her eyes flow
as the blood out of her soul.
How could he do this?
Doesn't he know
her love was everything?
She gave her heart to the fool
and now
she's standing there broken
and in a pool
of tears, blood, and water.

As the rain falls down,
she steps outside
and asks God
to wash her sins aside.
Lord,
save her from herself.
She's lost on her insides.
Torn and shattered,
she needs redemption from this love,
lost forever in this pool
of tears, blood, and water.

After the storm
comes the calm.
Now she's standing alone in a pool
of tears, blood, and water
staring at the sky
with a new sparkle of life
in her eyes.

Now she has a True Love
to call her own.
She has learned that
she has never been alone.
After that day in the pool
of tears, blood, and water,
she saw a new face
staring back at her.
She's learned that
there is a calm after the storm
and there's a beautiful creation
left behind.
