Black Rose

by Sora Chi Kaminari   Jan 12, 2006

He walked through the cemetery
The clouds low; not on a missionary

In hand a black rose
Her favorite flower they all supposed

But he knew for sure that it was
Dancing in the rain; surprised by how much pain does

The rain fell, the water splashed
He didn't even try to dash

Rejection was always at stake
He was in love, that was no mistake

She had left him, a hole in his heart
The slice in her chest, his world fell apart

Seeing her grave, nothing new
The same old thing, with old rotten flowers, in morning dew

The small tombstone held her name
He always would curse in vane

She had committed suicide
Leaving him in the world behind

She never knew the love he held
It was all flirting when he yelled

He knew he caused her pain
Shoving her down, making him insane

The dark black rose broke in his hand
Tears in his eyes, blood rushing in his head

Now he knew why, she walked in the rain...
Because no one knew you were crying out of pain
