Part I: Love Will Be...

by Atomic   Jan 13, 2006

During a deep intimate moment,
With my new and gentle groom.
I caught sight of a slender figure,
Hiding in the shadows of the room.

It appeared to be a lovely woman,
Draped in the purest of white lace.
With tears streaming downwards,
Streaking her sad and pallid face.

She stepped out into the moonlight,
Her complexions became quite clear.
Her flowery lips spoke loud words,
But silence was the loudest I can hear.

She reached a hand for my husband,
Love and hatred shone in her eyes.
Is it him that she soulfully desire,
Or is it him that she so much despise?

Her expression changed ever so often,
Sad, lost, lonely, love, fear, and dread.
Until the blood rolled off her temples,
Melting and painting her cheeks red.

All the while the tears rushed in rivers,
She pointed a shaking finger at him.
The sound of a beating heart grew,
Until she faded into a hopeless dim.

My husband's back was facing her,
He never saw the frightening scene.
But in a way I was glad he didn't, because,
You can't see what's meant to be unseen.
