If only I knew how to break these bonds and chains

I'd find a new place to feel loved

just so you can't hear me cry
I'll dance in the rain
just so you can't see my tears
I'll laugh like I mean it
just so you can't see the pain that's hidden beneath
I'll say that I'm just fine
just so you'll think that I am
I'll try so hard to push you away
just so you won't feel that you have to stay with me

If only I knew how to say what I was feeling
I'd tell you everything so fast
that you wouldn't understand anything that I was saying
then I would regret even saying it, I know it.

Why can't I understand these emotions flooding through me?
It's too difficult for me to describe what I'm feeling
I hate it so much
I hate the fact that it's so hard to tell you what I'm feeling
That's why you hate me, isn't it?
I'm sorry for trying to be perfect when I'm so imperfect.

    OH MY GOD!! i love this, its so goood!! i love how you repeated some stanza's it made it sound sooooo good.

    i love this stanza..

    especially the one the one about the rain :] the emotion was fantastic.

    I really like this.. the emotion is wonderful.. a very heartfelt poem.. the only thing is its more like a diary entry than a poem.. but still a very enjoyable read.. great emotion :D

    Nicely written... at first I didn't really like the repetitiveness; but then I realized that it's more of a song lyric then a poem, which sheds a different light. I loved how you started off with a confused state of mind, not sure of anything at all and closed off the piece by answering all that you questioned earlier with your answers. Good write. 5/5

    This was so awesome I couldn't stop reading it, I loved the way it was written. We all want something better but sometimes were afraid to leave what we have behind just incase we somehow realize it's all we really needed all along. This was truly an awesome write 5/5 for sure
