Thank you

by Nearly but not quite   Jan 14, 2006

I'd like to thank you for all the things you've done for me over the years:

Thank you for always being there for me,
Except when I needed you most.

Thank you for always believing me,
Except when I was at my most honest.

Thank you for the unconditional love you gave,
On condition that I needed it and no one else's.

Thank you for always misinterpreting the things I did and words I said.

Thank you for accusing me of being lying, cheating, scheming.
Now I see that it's you who is two faced.

It really meant a lot to me
So I stopped cutting my wrists
When you took my knife.
I used burning needles instead
And beat up brick walls
And wished I was dead
Dead
DEAD!

The person I wrote this about has since apologised, so I suppose the poem has lost a bit of it's meaning, but this is how I was feeling at the time.
Please comment, I appreciate constructive criticism as well as praise.

My housemistress at school had just accused me of being an immoral liar, I was (understandably I think) a bit annoyed with her, so I wrote this and "How to kill myself" please comment on them!
