2 souls

by Sirkka / Selene   Jan 14, 2006

In the shimmer-dark of the night,
2 souls are screaming in a fight.
One is white, the other black,
not willing to show the other his back.

One shall win, the other lose,
searching for a weakness or other clues.
They're fight is endless, it won't stop,
until one is broken, and will give up.

But the fight that was started,
a million years ago.
Is still going further,
soul against soul.

Will it ever end,
that's not for us to know.
But one day, it will be quiet,
and the people here will know.

Who has won, and who has lost,
not thinking clear, over what it will cost.
If its the wrong soul, then start to run,
cause darkness will flow, and the sun will be gone.

Hey I like the mythological feel of this poem. That coupled with the flow and lyrical choices make it well worth reading. Good Job!
