Maybe Someday

A twisted, shattered heart
so confused inside
a solid tear relfecting
the things i try to hide

should i cry at your pain
or laugh at your smile
or act so indifferent
to be with you a while

a perfect thought
inside your poem concealed
your true intentions
for now, they are revealed

the one so far
a thousand miles apart
only now your love
can tame my rugged heart

sometimes i want to be with you
to feel a hint of your trace
to have those emotions again
to feel the warmth of your embrace

but for now i will be content
for maybe someday its meant to be
i will wait til the ends of the earth
for the day you will be with me
