Wow. What a powerful poem. I loved how you used the whole idea of that parachute. It kind of reminded me of a sad story, a about one of the female pilots, she jumped out of a plane with a parachute, being one of the first. But she never made it.

Well.. That didn't make any sense. And I have no idea why I have put that in my comment.

ANyway,... I truly loved this poem. Very beautiful written. YOu are very talented.
